LBRL was established by Dr Ali Al-Sakkaf, an experienced food microbiologist and food safety expert. He has a PhD in Food Microbiology and over 20 years of international experience in the food industry, food regulatory, food microbiology, food safety research, risk assessment, food processing intervention, food incidence investigation, HACCP, food safety plan, food hygiene, foodborne pathogens, food standards, public health, food safety education and awareness.
Recognised as contributing valued insights in protecting consumer health for furthering the complex food safety research needed to tackle the significant problem of campylobacteriosis in New Zealand. Submitted and published more than 20 scientific papers, and presented at several scientific international conferences (USA, Germany, Japan, Australia and New Zealand)
